THE SEARCH FOR GOD IN THE MODERN WORLD - RABBI KLEIN

Belief in God has been absolutely central to Judaism since its very beginning. Yet today many people have a great deal of difficulty with belief either because they have no plausible and compelling view of God or because they see no reason to believe in God in the first place. And the challenges of modern science and an onslaught of “New Atheists” have raised the stakes even higher. In this series we will take up the reasons people have traditionally believed in God, the modes of evidence for such belief, and the different kinds of belief featured in the Bible, the Prayerbook, and the writings of Jewish thinkers like Maimonides, Martin Buber, Mordecai Kaplan and Joseph Soloveitchik.
